College, magic, and clockwork mice!

I dreamed that I was a young college student in a a very urban college. Surrounded by skyscrapers I was scrambling to find and acquire all the materials I needed for my classes. Then the scene shifted to later at night. I was with another male classmate, and both of us had magical powers which were decently strong. We were in a college science lab building, going through rooms and clearing them of monsters. I also had tiny clockwork mouse companion that I called "Mushi". I went everywhere with that clockwork mouse.

Suddenly we ran into other humans with strong powers as well in the building. They were here looking for a certain item that some of the monsters dropped when they were defeated, and they didn't take kindly to us clearing out their monsters. My friend and I had to set up shields up and down the hallway to keep the enemy humans from rushing us as we were too tired after fighting so many monsters to defend ourselves from their onslaught. While they were trying to break through our shield I found the monster they were looking for in one of the labs. Unfortunately we were too exhausted to fight it and snatch the coveted item, and before we knew it we heard an explosion as the enemy broke through one of our shields.

I swiftly collected Mushi and a second clockwork mouse that he had found, and we ran out the exit in the lab with the monster, escaping to the outside of the building. I felt drained and exhausted, but we kept running. I was just contemplating if I had the energy to try levitating and flying home when my alarm woke me up.
